Welcome to Prodigy Baseball Academy, home of the Kansas City area’s premier player development program! Our mission is simple: provide youth and high school baseball players with the instruction and training that they need to reach their maximum potentials and to prepare them for the next level.
At Prodigy, you’ll learn what actually creates velocity and bat speed, how you can train in the weight room to develop functional strength for use on the diamond, how to keep your arm healthy through proper mechanics and prehab exercises, and best of all, you’ll get the opportunity to work in a small group that is completely focused on becoming the best baseball players they can be. We only want clients who are interested in working hard to achieve their goals, because we believe a positive and hard-working atmosphere is ideal for everyone.
What makes us different?
Training. All Prodigy team members participate in our Next Level Training Program and receive the same high quality instruction. This training program, which includes speed and agility, strength training, hitting instruction, and pitching instruction, is included in your annual membership. And best of all, our training is integrated with our instruction. Our hitting and pitching instructors work closely with our trainers to make sure that the athlete’s physical tools are developed in a way that maximizes their performance on the field.
Paid Coaches. Every Prodigy team has a paid coach, which means say goodbye to the hassles associated with parent coaches.
All-Inclusive Pricing. Included in your annual membership fee is everything you need to be the best baseball player that you can be, including our Next Level Training Program, a paid coach, a full year’s access to the facility, uniforms, tournament fees, and basic equipment package for the team. We will NOT try to sell you additional lessons or clinics and we won’t require you to participate in any fundraising. If you want extra hitting or pitching instruction, our coaches will be available for private and small group lessons, but that’s up to you.
Open Hours for Extra Work. Sure, we could add more teams, but when would you be able to get in that extra work that’s really necessary for you to get ahead? That’s why we commit to you that there will always be a batting cage and mound open for member use. And when the weather warms up and teams head outside for team games and practices, you’ll still be able to come in for that extra workout, some BP, or a bullpen session.
Skills Testing and Tracking. At Prodigy we believe that performance needs to be measured and tracked to make sure that your baseball career stays on track and your improvement goals are met. That’s why we’ll do regular testing and all results will be available to you online through our member website.
Online Scheduling and Payment System. The Prodigy Baseball Academy uses the latest online scheduling and payment systems to make your life easy. Schedule and keep track of all your training sessions, payments, and performance metrics from the convenience of our easy-to-use member website.
What you can expect when you start
If you join our small group of dedicated baseball athletes, you can expect to work harder than you’ve ever worked in your life. You’ll be pushing around heavy weight, throwing medicine balls until your core’s on fire, getting manually stretched out by our trainers, taking tons of batting practice, throwing more than you’ve ever thrown, and getting a lot of hands-on attention from our expert coaches. Our organization isn’t a “feel-good” select baseball team where everyone is there to stand around and talk – we’re here to work.
You’ll notice your fastball coming in harder, your secondary pitches biting harder than ever, and your command and control vastly improving. You’ll notice that your bat speed has improved and that your power at the plate pushes you up in the batting order. You’ll notice that you’re becoming a better athlete, not just a baseball player.
